The IRIS Robotics platform is intended to navigate outdoor environments and relay its video data to an operator or video server via its 802.11n wireless interface. This rugged, mobile system is designed to crawl over rocks, tolerate rain, snow and dust all the while protecting its sophisticated electronics. Quality, durability, and dependability are the core characteristics of this platform. Command and control is performed by a sunlight readable rugged touch sensitive laptop (sold separately). IRIS is a perfect research platform to develop sophisticated navigation or autonomous behaviors. It can also assist in exploring areas that are dangerous or hostile while performing real-time reconnaissance enabling your team to remain at a safe vantage point. |
